Absentee In-Person Voting
Absentee In-Person voting allows you to vote prior to Election Day. There are several early/absentee voting sites across the Borough. The hours of operation vary at each location. Not all locations have all ballot types. The Division of Elections and the Mat-Su Borough locations will have all ballot types.

Absentee In-Person voting will also take place Sept. 21, 2015, through Oct. 5, 2015, at Houston City Hall and the Talkeetna and Trapper Creek public libraries. Ballot types are limited and specific to the community in which the ballot is cast.
Absentee By-Mail Voting
Any registered voter of the Borough may apply for a ballot to be mailed to them by submitting an Absentee By-Mail Ballot Application not later than seven days prior to Election Day. The application deadline for the October 6, 2015, regular election is September 29, 2015.
Please apply early to receive your ballot in a timely manner. Carefully complete all sections of the application and sign. Omissions or errors may cause a delay in ballot mailing. You must sign your application. No one can sign for you.
Completed applications may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Borough Clerk's Office at 350 E. Dahlia Avenue, Palmer, AK 99645, or faxed to 907-861-7845. The application deadline for the October 6, 2015, regular election is September 29, 2015.
Once the ballots are ready for distribution and upon the timely receipt of an absentee by-mail ballot application, an official ballot and voting material will be mailed to the applicant at the ballot mailing address given on the application. The first batch of ballots is generally mailed approximately 18 days prior to Election Day.
When you receive your ballot, carefully follow all instructions to ensure that your ballot is properly cast. In order to qualify for counting, absentee by-mail ballot envelopes must be postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday, October 6, 2015, and received in the Borough Clerk's Office no later than October 9, 2015.
If you choose to hand-deliver your ballot it must be returned to a Borough election official by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
