Tractor Trailer Fire

An accident involving a diesel-hauling tractor trailer on the northbound Palmer off-ramp just off the Glenn Highway at milepost 35 has temporarily closed the northbound Palmer off-ramp. However, the Parks Highway is still open in both directions. Please expect slow traffic and long delays. State Fair traffic is being diverted to Trunk Road. Drivers are asked to use caution when passing and pay close attention to all emergency vehicles on the road as well as the traffic around and in front of them.

Update: The Fire is now out but the northbound Palmer off-ramp  will remain closed until the Alaska State Troopers determine it is safe.
