Talis Colberg sworn in as Borough Mayor

MAT-SU—Tonight the Assembly for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough certified the June 9th special election. Talis Colberg, former Assembly Member and former Alaska Attorney General, was sworn in as the Borough Mayor.

Borough Clerk Lonnie McKechnie administered the oath of office.

Gerry Keeling, chair of the Canvass Board, reported that 4,908 votes were cast in the special election, an 8.73 percent voter turnout.
