platformcentralmatsu1racobellsmjhMAT-SU—Emergency responders for the Central MAT-SU Fire Department will be cutting holes in a roof and breaking down doors of the Taco Bell in Wasilla tonight around 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

The restaurant is being demolished and rebuilt. The owners graciously allowed a training opportunity for emergency responders.

Central's Fire Chief James Steele said some 60 to 70 responders will be practicing firefighting and rescue skills in the building tonight (Tuesday). They'll be practicing forcible entry, ladder operations, hose line evolutions and ventilation. No burning will take place. The new aerial platform truck will be part of the training.

The Borough is working with the Wasilla Police Department to manage traffic.
