Sockeye Fire evac Willow

Emergency Services Director Bill Gamble reports a voluntary evacuation in effect for Willow, this includes Willow Lakes, Crystal Lakes, Shirley Lakes, Nancy Lake, and more. A new shelter is being set up at Houston Middle School. Buses will take residents from Willow Community Center to the school. An emergency information number is 861-8500.

The Sockeye Fire has reached 1700 to 1800 acres in size.
