EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER-- The State Department of Transportation has notified the Borough's Emergency Operations Center that mudslides at Moose Creek Canyon have partially blocked Buffalo Mine Rd. at mile 1. One lane remains open to traffic.

Road crews are working to clear the blockage and motorists should exercise caution in the area.

King Arthur Drive in Houston remains closed. Please see the Borough website for a complete list of road closures.

Both land line and cell phone service is out from mile 90 Parks Highway north. Electrical power remains on. MTA is working on the problem.

Water levels in the creeks and rivers appear to be fluctuating, although the overall trend is for water levels to drop. Scattered showers will continue for the foreseeable future.

State Department of Environmental Conservation drinking water specialists have advised that residents who observe water on the ground around their well should boil drinking water for two full minutes at a rolling boil. This is a precaution against any contamination that may have seeped into from ground water.

If anyone has pictures of the flood and its effects that you would like to add to the Borough's documentation, please email digital photos to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Please be sure to identify the photographer.
