Ribbon Cutting for Dena'ina Elementary

Mat-Su | Patty Sullivan | Friday, August 19, 2016

A cheerful group celebrated the new Dena'ina Elementary School off Knik-Goose Bay Road on Tuesday. Dena'ina is one of the last two schools that were funded by $214 million in school bonds from 2011. The new school already has 380 students, and is in the State's fifth largest community of Knik-Fairview. Principal Andrea Everett led the ceremony in bright sunlight out front.

Project Manager Dave Steadman led the construction work on Dena'ina for the Borough Capital Projects Department.
