MSB Infrastructure and Landfill Waiver Update

Public Works Road Update 12/4/18

Immediate hazard work on Vine Road started last night and will be completed tomorrow. Tomorrow the Mat-Su Borough will solicit quotes from three different companies for the temporary road to determine who will perform the work – Once received the borough will begin work in that area.

Expect work at MP 15.5 to begin on Mack Road tomorrow.

Processing purchase orders to begin work on four projects in the Big Lake RSA starting today. That work includes damage on Susitna Parkway near Burma Road.

Facility Update 12/4/18

The Palmer Pool and big Lake Library re-open tomorrow 12/5/18. The Brett Ice Arena is open as well, and was only closed on Friday, the day of the earthquake event.

Waiver of Individual Landfill Fees Update 12/4/18

Proposed legislation for the emergency resolution of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Assembly providing a waiver of individual landfill fees did not pass.
