MAT-SU forum on stimulus funding

MAT-SU—The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is co-hosting a forum on stimulus funding with the MAT-SU Health Foundation next Tues., April 21, at Evangelos Restaurant in Wasilla.

Nonprofits, cities and tribes, and the school district are among the invited guests.


Deputy Mayor Lynne Woods asked the Borough to hold the forum. "The benefits to nonprofits of this comprehensive program can be huge," Woods said. "I am hoping everyone will take advantage of the forum and the financial expertise of people like Larry Persily."

This local event is designed to offer a comprehensive perspective on stimulus
funding and will drill down the implications and possibilities from the federal and
state levels to what is happening with stimulus funding opportunities right here in the
MAT-SU.

The April 14 event in Anchorage sponsored by Alaska's Congressional Delegation will focus exclusively on competitive stimulus funding available directly through federal departments.

When: Tuesday, April 21, 2009, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Where: Evangelos Restaurant, Mile 40 Parks Highway, Wasilla

Lunch will be provided.
