Those centers will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They will also be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays until Wednesday, August 30.

The Help Centers are located at the Sunshine Fire Station (733-2055) and at the Willow Community Center (495-2055). Since the Centers opened on Monday, 137 people have stopped by to take advantage of the resources.

Free services available at the Help Centers are: relief packets for disaster assistance, gallon jugs of drinking water, cases of smaller bottles of water, kits to test well water, and coupons for up to $50 for disposal of flood debris at the Central Landfill and transfer sites.

Flood debris can also be placed into dumpsters at the Beaver Rd. gravel pit in Talkeetna, the Houston Fire Station, and at King Arthur Drive and No Name Rd.
