H1N1 vaccine clinics coming up in MAT-SU

MAT-SU— The MAT-SU Borough is staying on top of the effort to prevent the spread of the H1N1 virus. Each week the Borough’s Emergency Manager connects with State Department of Health leaders and coordinates a meeting with local stakeholders. We’re all working together.

Coming up -

Friday, Oct. 30 H1N1 vaccines for children with medical conditions such as asthma and diabetes. Where: MAT-SU Public Health Center is at 3223 E. Palmer-Wasilla Highway, #3. Phone: 352-6600. When: 2 p.m.-4 p.m.

The MAT-SU School District will be holding three clinics for enrolled students only, at Colony High from 11 to 3 on Nov. 14, Nov. 21, and Dec. 12—all Saturdays. Parents or guardians must accompany all students, and please bring the student’s shot records.

MAT-SU College is also hosting an H1N1 clinic on Nov. 19 from 3 to 7 p.m. Priority groups are vaccinated first.

Another mass dispensing clinic is planned in December as more vaccine arrives. Remember, all H1N1 vaccines are voluntary and free.
