Alaska Governor Bill Walker accepted an invitation to attend the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Assembly's special meeting on the 2017 budget and governor vetoes. This is the second meeting the Assembly is holding to discuss potential new costs to the borough due to the State fiscal crisis.

The former press release is here.

Also, on the agenda is an ordinance for the Assembly to consider for the Borough to take over management, temporarily, of the Houston City Fire and Rescue.  Here is an agenda for tomorrow's meeting at 6 pm in the Assembly chambers at 350 E. Dahlia Ave. in Palmer.
