Girl Scouts Stop in with Mayor Menard

PALMER—Matanuska-Susitna Borough Mayor Curt Menard met with the Girl Scouts, Troop 459, and wished them well in their annual cookie sales. Kathryn, 8, and Alex, 8, said they started selling Girl Scout cookies last Friday and do not fear the cold.

The girls expect the much-anticipated cookies to arrive by March.

Seventy-five percent of the price of each box benefits the Susitna Council. If interested, contact Troop mom Miriam at 746-1827.

Since taking office, Mayor Menard has enjoyed meeting with the public and acting as an ambassador of good will for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.
