Floodplain Map Last Appeal

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough has entered the appeal period for federal floodplain maps in the Borough. The appeal period is open until January 25, 2018, for any comments or appeals.

This is a final phase for inviting public feedback on the New Flood Insurance Rate Map and Flood Insurance Study production process.

To compare the existing floodplain to the new, simply grab the line near the center of the page and slide it back and forth. Sliding the line to the right shows the existing flood data and sliding the line to the left reveals the new proposed data.
