EOC to open at 2:30 pm

The Mat-Su Borough is activating an EOC, Emergency Operations Center, at 2:30 pm today. A map of roads with flooding has been posted and will be updated.

The emergency we are responding to and posting information on is now named "Mat-Su Flooding Sept. 2015."
The Borough will be posting information regularly on facebook and the borough website.

If you live in an area near a flooding road, check on your property and have a backup plan for tonight.
In a worst case scenario, if water is on your only road in, you may want to gather the essentials: family, pets, important papers, and medicines, and stay somewhere else tonight. Consider the access to and from your home and whether that access could be blocked by water.
