Economic Development Update on Agenda Tonight

Among the items on the agenda for tonight's Assembly meeting, Matanuska-Susitna Borough Manager John Moosey is giving the Borough Assembly an update on recent economic development activities and seeking direction. View Moosey's attached document.

Some of the other items on the agenda tonight include:

• the proposed dedication of an easement over Borough-owned tidelands to Knik Arm Bridge and Toll Authority for bridge construction.

• classification of the lands for the boundary expansion of the Port MacKenzie Special Land Use District

• an ordinance proposing an archaeology survey and inventory of site within the proposed Fish Creek townsite

• a resolution recognizing avalanche safety and the vision of establishing an Avalanche Safety cabin at Hatcher Pass

• award of proposal to Hattenburg Dilley & Linnell, HDR Alaska, Inc., Lounsbury & Assoc. and USKH for engineering and surveying services for right-of-way needs on public road projects throughout the Borough in an amount not to exceed $500k each, per year.

• award of contract to Howdie Inc. for $1.9 M for Caswell Public Safety Building.

The Assembly meets tonight, June 3, at 6 pm at 350 E. Dahlia Ave. in Palmer in the new chambers.
