Borough Staff Helps 60 Families

Mat-Su | Patty Sullivan | Tuesday, November 22, 2016

Staff at the Matanuska-Susitna Borough gathered and delivered Thanksgiving baskets for 60 families who need the help this time of year. The baskets were loaded with turkey, stuffing mix, yams, veggies, rolls, pies & more. Employees in the IT/GIS Department led the effort with 17 baskets, followed by the Capital Projects Department with 13 baskets and the Planning Department with nine baskets.

Borough employees with the Mat-Su Borough Employees Association have a longstanding tradition of gathering winter holiday meals for our neighbors.

Here is a video from last year's Thanksgiving Basket effort.

Other employees who stepped up work in the Operations & Maintenance Division, Accounting, Administration/Human Resources, Animal Care, Port MacKenzie, Solid Waste, Sutton Fire, Accounts Payable, Land Management, Revenue and Budget and Wasilla Pool.
