Stephanie Nowers came to Alaska in 1993 and moved to the Mat-Su in 1995 first living in a solar-powered cabin near Wasilla and now near Palmer where she resides with her husband and two daughters. She was a journalist for several years based in the Mat-Su, before starting her own energy consulting business.

As an Assembly member, Stephanie will work to listen and keep her fellow residents informed on important issues, and look for ways to keep the Mat-Su growing while retaining the qualities about the Valley that we all cherish. 

Assemblymember Nowers represents District 2 which includes:

• The City of Palmer and great Palmer area
• South of Palmer-Wasilla Highway to Hyer Road
