Winter Trails Day, Jan. 12, Saturday

To celebrate the annual Winter Trails Day, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Parks and Outdoor Recreation Division, Mat-Su Trails Council, and Alaska Trails will host free cross-country ski and snowshoe lessons on Jan. 12, Saturday, from 10:30 am to 3 pm at the new Government Peak Recreation Area. Instruction and equipment are free of charge and some refreshments. Visit http://www.hatcherpass.com to learn more about the new recreation area.
