12 more days to create a sense of place and to show inspiration for the coming Nordic Ski Area at Hatcher Pass.
Photos, sketches, painting, digital art welcome.

Project background: Commanding views of rugged peaks and valley floors draw people to Hatcher Pass.
The Nordic Ski Area will be built off Edgerton Parks Road on the southern side of Government Peak. Map is available.
Phase 1 includes 10 kilometers of beginner and intermediate trails.
Phase 2 includes a chalet, stadium for competition, 10 km of Olympic-class trails.
Designed by Olympian Bill Spencer, the Nordic trails will take all levels of skiers through spruce to towering mountain views of the Chugach and the Talkeetna Mountains.
The well-designed trails will provide a venue for statewide high school and international competitions and will increase tourism.
The Nordic trails will promote economic diversification by creating new recreational draw to the area.
