No Damage to Homes as a Result of Mud Slide

EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER-- Four mud slides that swept the Old Glenn Highway are expected to be cleared by DOT at 4 p.m. today. Charlie Von Gouten, Butte Fire Chief, is on site and reports no known damage to homes or trapped residents as a result of the slides. Displaced families are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

Access to the Glenn Highway is available through Palmer. Settlers Bay Drive has been cleared of mud and debris and is now open to all traffic. Please exercise caution when driving on the wet roads and be alert to changing road conditions.
