MSB Waiving C&D Disposal Fees for Residents

The Mat-Su Borough is temporarily waiving construction and demolition (C&D) landfill disposal fees for Mat-Su Borough residents. C&D includes wood, concrete, lumber, furniture, and other non-hazardous construction or household debris. This waiver applies to individuals only and does not apply to businesses or commercial accounts.

The fee waiver will be in effect from Thursday, December 11, 2025, through close of business on Sunday, December 21, 2025. This measure is intended to support the disposal of storm-related waste and to assist residents who experienced damage or loss to personal property from the recent windstorm. As a reminder, the Borough already accepts brush and woody debris at no charge year-round, and residents are encouraged to bring downed trees, limbs, and brush to the Central Landfill, as well as the Big Lake, Willow, and Talkeetna transfer sites.
