Matanuska-Susitna Borough Road Update
Emergency protective measures on Vine were completed this morning by MSB contractor. Vine project was transferred to DOT at 9:45 this morning and DOT is making temporary repairs. Filling the damaged area is underway.
Point MacKenzie Road is now open to two way traffic at mile 15.5. Repairs will be completed tonight.
Updates from Road Superintendents
ROAD SERVICE AREA: 14, 17, 27 & 28
Point Mac Road:
Mile 1 – milling and compacting will be completed tonight
Mile 4 - milling and compacting will be completed tonight (will be a some D1 to this location tomorrow)
Mile 6 - milling and compacting will be completed tonight
Mile 15 – blading & rolling now, open to two way traffic. All scheduled work will be completed tonight.
Lu Young Road:
Removed guardrail today. RAMP repairs starting tomorrow
Settlers Bay Drive – Hill:
Road separated, mill and fill in shoulder void starting first thing tomorrow.
North Shore:
Barricaded one lane – work on road to be completed no later than Friday
ROAD SERVICE AREA: 9, 16, 19, 23, 25, 26 & 31
Matanuska Spur Road:
Material will be placed behind the guardrail as a precautionary measure tomorrow.
No emergency repairs needed on other roads. Spent today inspecting roads with contractor to form scope of work for any minor repairs found.
ROAD SERVICE AREA: 15, 20, 21, 29 & 30
Beaver Lake Road – repairs already completed
Susitna Parkway – repairs already completed
