The Mat-Su Borough is amending the fee waver of C&D landfill disposal to be extended from January 2 through end of buisiness on January 18. This extension will allow residents more time to dispose of windstorm debris at the Central Landfill. C&D includes wood, concrete, lumber, furniture, and other non-hazardous construction or household debris. This waiver applies to individuals only and does not apply to businesses or commercial accounts.
The fee waiver will be in effect from Thursday, january 2, 2026, through close of business on Sunday, January 18, 2026. This measure is intended to support the disposal of storm-related waste and to assist residents who experienced damage or loss to personal property from the recent windstorm. As a reminder, the Borough already accepts brush and woody debris at no charge year-round, and residents are encouraged to bring downed trees, limbs, and brush to the Central Landfill.
