MAT-SU—Animal Care Manager Richard Stockdale says the huskies rescued in January have gained between 25 and 40 percent of their body weight. Dr. Katrina Zwolinski, Borough Veterinarian, has been keeping a close eye on their medical needs.

Three husky moms were sent to rescue groups to deliver their pups, and these groups will be finding homes for the puppies when the time is right.
