MAT-SU— Assistant Borough Manager Elizabeth Gray resigned this week and took a job in her home state of Oklahoma as City Administrator of Altus, Oklahoma.

Gray served three years at the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, last year as the Acting Borough Manager until Manager John Moosey was hired.
"I sincerely enjoyed the time I spent serving the citizens of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and could not have asked for a more professional group of co-workers who became friends. I will always treasure the time I have spent here. I believe the Borough is in good hands with Mr. Moosey. I wish the citizens and the employees nothing but the best," Gray wrote.

Mayor Larry DeVilbiss signed a Borough proclamation for Gray. Excerpts include:

WHEREAS, Elizabeth has served in many roles including Acting Director of Community Development, Acting Manager of Human Resources, Acting Manager of Animal Care, and Acting Borough Manager; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth has been a tireless champion promoting the Borough as a travel destination and a forward-thinking government; and

MAT-SU Legislators recently gave Gray a round of applause for her responsiveness and time at the helm.

A search for an assistant borough manager resumes in the New Year.
