Borough Fire, EMS drill w/ hospital tomorrow

MAT-SU— On Wed., October 19, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at MAT-SU Regional Medical Center, the Hospital and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough will be participating in a “LIVE PREPAREDNESS DRILL.”  It will involve Hospital personnel and Urgent Care together with Borough Fire and EMS.

This exercise will SIMULATE a seismic event and fire which would cause a partial evacuation of the Hospital.  The PRACTICE DRILL will also SIMULATE an influx of new patients injured in the SIMULATED earthquake.  This DRILL will allow those involved to practice communication, deploy needed resources and be better prepared to serve the members of our community in the event of an actual emergency.
