Deputy Mayor Woods, Houston bid farewell

MAT-SU— Deputy Mayor Lynne Woods received a standing ovation for her dedication to the Matanuska-Susitna Borough while serving two terms. Assembly Member Pete Houston said serving was one of the most important times of his life. Both Assembly Members gave parting words Tuesday night. Deputy Mayor Lynne Woods said she learned much from her constituents in District 1, a vast area spreading from south of Knik River to Sutton and north to Lake Louise.
